My Real Estate Story

The first house I bought was a duplex in 2018. My husband and I renovated the property one unit at a time. First, we renovated the downstairs unit and rented it out which covered more than half of the mortgage. Then we tackled the upstairs unit which we eventually moved into.

By refinancing the duplex, we were able to leverage the equity that we then used to buy the home we currently live in. Always suckers for good bones, we bought it knowing we’d do major renovations again. I even GC’d and designed this house, and I absolutely love the results. We still have the duplex which has become a smart investment with positive monthly cashflow.

Becoming a Real Estate Agent

I loved the process so much that I got my real estate license in 2021. I find that my renovation and construction knowledge is also extremely beneficial to my clients. I know what to look out for to distinguish a cheap flip from solid craftsmanship; I can also guide my clients on easy and cost effective ways to spruce up a house to transform it into a special home.

Before getting into the industry, I worked in fine dining for 10 years — and I also have a masters in US history that I never figured out how to use, ha! Real estate is truly an industry of people, and my background taught me how to work with tons of personalities, think fast on my feet, and find solutions that everyone can agree to.

South Philly is my heart neighborhood: Both of my houses are here, and it’s where I’ve put down my family’s roots. I’ve also done deals throughout the city and the suburbs on both sides of the river in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Having the versatility in my business allows me to guide my clients to the absolute best home for their lifestyle and needs.
